Let's start somewhere!
I was born in 1981, and over the past few years I bought any albums released in (or made some impact in) 1981 that I found intriguing. Some were already a part of my favorite bands' work. With my 30th birthday this year, I made a project to research for a lot more albums of 1981 that felt noteworthy to me. The result was two Amazon Listmania lists totaling over 70 albums!
Below are the two lists. You can view the details of each album by going to the Amazon lists via each link.

List #000: Introduction
Hello, and welcome to my blog!
This blog on blogger.com serves one primary purpose: to archive any and all lists I have made or have come across throughout my life. These posts will vary in length: the shortest ones will often include a link to a site having someone's list while the longest ones will probably be my own lists with details for each item. Some lists will be ordered (e.g. "Top 10") or unordered (i.e. "in no particular order").
Why do this? All through life, we create or come across various types of lists: lists of instructions, Top 100 lists, music playlists, to-do lists, mailing lists, movie queue lists, TV listings, wish lists, reference lists, job listings. My goal is to share some of my favorites and even create some lists of my own for my and your enjoyment!
This first of many lists details 10 things about me. These are primarily the items you see in my About Me, but in more detail. This list will act as a precursor to the kinds of lists you'll see on here.
1. Math man. I love math, plain and simple. In particular, the numbers and formulas that I have come across inside and outside of school, including the number pi, the golden ratio, the quadratic formula, Euler's Identity and the Pythagorean Theorem. I'm also a part-time tutor in the subject, so I help out any way I can.
2. Web developer. My main occupation is web and software development. I create and update various websites, from the simple ones for my relatives and myself to working on large-scale projects while I was employed full-time. My areas of expertise include HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and Java.
3. Music explorer. My whole family (which consists of 2 parents, 4 sisters, and 1 brother in-law) is very music-oriented. We each have our own personal tastes and regularly attend concerts. My favorite bands include Genesis, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Michael Jackson, Rush, Led Zeppelin, U2, and The Police.
4. Movie watcher. I grew up watching various movies on my own and as a family. Nowadays, I watch movies from NetFlix or at the theaters. (Sometimes doing two movies the same day.) Some genres I prefer include comedies, action/adventure, and animated films. I'm not much into horror and heavy-violent ones.
5. Dice, card, & board gamemaster. I enjoy many games, especially Yahtzee. Quite often, I often explain the rules in best detail to everyone playing newer games, hence dubbing myself a "gamemaster." But I am in no way the best in games. Other games I like include Monopoly, Scattergories, Spades, Catchphrase, Set and Uno.
6. Video games player. I have played video games a whole lot in my life. This dates back to the Atari 7800, Commodore 64, and Nintendo's Game & Watch and old NES systems. I'm still loyal to Nintendo, with no interests in buying Sony's or Microsoft's systems. I lately have been playing several intriguing games for the PC.
7. Sports spectator. I wasn't great at sports as a kid, except bowling. More often than ever, I watch various sports. I enjoy watching basketball and football the most. Though I regularly watch "PTI" and "SportsCenter" on ESPN, I have often criticized many of their tendencies. Especially when any New York Yankees news trump all.
8. Humorist. I enjoy and dish out good humor on occasion. A memorable one-liner from a movie or TV show. A math joke. Stand-up comedies by Louie Anderson and Eddie Izzard. Watching "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on TV. I also still read comic strips; some long-time favs include Calvin & Hobbes, Zits, Peanuts, Foxtrot, and Get Fuzzy.
9. Graphic artist. Paint Shop Pro and Windows Paint has allowed me to be very creative. Most of my artwork comes from or its concept is based off other artwork or photographs, some of which I include song lyrics. So it's more a personal hobby than anything. I have showcased some of my artwork on my personal website.
10. Around the Internet. I'm a frequent web-surfer while on several social websites including Twitter and Facebook. I regularly play a few online games while sometimes type out articles whenever I need to get something off my chest. And online shopping is always a beautiful thing, especially during the holidays.
